And what connects us. Because after death, when all our flesh has decayed and our souls return home, to the source, to where we all came from, this is what remains of us, and we are equals. No more differences in race, color, origin, and so on.
Connection through decomposition.
The skull. People often find it frightening. I find it strange, though, because everyone has one. But I think that's because most people don't dare to look inside, at that dark side of us. That which we'd rather not look at, but which is there nonetheless... Death. That which will happen to us all. Transformation.
